International Polymers Corporation Plastics are an important part of Allentown's economy. A significant player in that industry is International Polymers Corporation (IPC), an anchor of Allentown industry since 1953. IPC compounds polypropylene for the automotive, construction, and agricultural industries and has production capacity of over 140 million pounds. Happy New Year Allentown had a great 2009 and we look forward to an even better 2010. We hope to finalize the deal to bring the Phantoms to Allentown, look forward to seeing many more great restaurants opening on Hamilton Street (including the Cosmpolitan), plan on having even better special events, and being part of the continuing revitalization of the Lehigh Valley. It will be great to put the difficult parts of 2009 behind us and start a new decade the right way. See you again in 2010!

2. The West End and Fairgrounds area has received $1.5 million in RACP funds for streetscape improvements.
3. The Allentown Fair generates more traffic to the West End than Musikfest draws to downtown Bethlehem.
4. Several large employers are within distance. Lehigh Valley Hospital employs over 1000, while St. Luke's Hospital and Muhlenberg College employee 400 – 500.
5. The neighborhood is pedestrian and bicycle friendly.
